I failed at making this ACTUALLY standalone, of course. I kinda got eaten alive by the worlds and implications thereof and had to break it into pieces. This piece is a shambling, horrifying mess--too much of everything is going on. This story uses a similar opening to a project i'm working on with Zombie, but differentiates wildly in particulars and characterization. Help! How can I make this more of a 'and what happened then?' sort of story--like your favorite uncle on a transatlantic flight screaming that the Space Gremlins will get him unless he can ride the drink cart like a surfboard--you can't help but flinch and hope the story continues. Here you go--be merciless! Charlie In Which Subtlety is Abandoned.pdf (73.86 KB)
